Enhanced school measures for COVID-19

by HWIS Administrators

In response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak on a global scale, our school has been taking extra precautionary measures to safeguard the welfare of our students and staff. Here are some of the preparedness, prevention, and response measures taken schoolwide:

  1. We have suspended all external school activities such as our House outing and field trips.

  2. We have stopped holding large gatherings or mass assemblies.

  3. We have set up visual checks at all entry points into the school. We continue to monitor staff and student temperatures daily.

  4. We have additional steps to visitor management. All visitors need to be screened, have their temperatures taken, and wear masks at all times.

  5. We pay close attention to our students and staff who appear to be unwell. Those who have not yet fully recovered from illnesses are advised to rest further at home.

  6. We have an intensified routine of disinfecting our classrooms, learning facilities, and the common areas. Teachers are constantly reminding students to wash their hands with soap and wear masks.
