2025 Seidof & Sons International Music Competition 1st Place – Violin SEIDOF & SONS CUP (Junior VE Group) -G9 Janice Li
Janice’s journey with the violin began in kindergarten, where she first encountered the instrument. After graduating, she started formal lessons, dedicating herself to learning the violin for the past nine years.
However, her initial learning experience was far from smooth, then three years ago, through a friend’s recommendation, that Janice found a professional music teacher who helped her build a strong foundation and uncover the artistry of violin playing.
Each competition became a personal challenge, an opportunity to test her abilities and measure her progress.
Daily practice and her passion for the violin will remain her cherished companion during her free time, bringing her joy and fulfillment.
At HWIS, we encourage our students to discover their hobbies and cultivate their passions, believing that these pursuits help shape well-rounded individuals. As celebrated violinist Itzhak Perlman once said, “The music is not in the notes, but in the silence between.” May Janice’s journey with the violin continue to inspire her and others to find harmony in their pursuits.
